Core Radio!
Core Radio helps people experience the comfort of the gospel and gain confidence and wisdom. It shows why Christianity is true and good and beautiful and it provides hope for a better future.
The CORE transmitter looks and feels like a professional tool. Its elegant Alcantara hand-hold facings and a layout which is familiar from high-end flight systems are clear evidence of the outstanding quality level. All switches are clearly labelled and the robust metal housing is finished in an appealing dark grey. The CORE transmitter is also characterized by a number of additional features that make it especially suitable for demanding use.
For example, the radio link utilizes a frequency-hopping process which is renowned for excellent interference rejection and long range. It is furthermore equipped with integral redundancy: the transmitting and receiving circuits are duplicated. In this way, the CORE is able to warn the pilot via telemetry of any fault in the transmission line. The power supply system is also redundant: the CORE is powered by two separate Li-Ion battery units with a capacity of 3400 mAh / 7.2 V.
The station's website featured extra content such as a music download service and information on currently playing songs. It also encouraged listener interaction with a new discussion group on MySpace, Skype, a message machine and an online chat room. In the spring of 2006, a competition called "A Face For Radio" was run to find a new presenter for the station. Potential candidates were nominated by friends and the list was reduced to ten. The two contestants with the fewest friends went head-to-head in a series of challenges.
